The document serves to assist providers of dental CPD in meeting the GDC’s criteria, and offers an easy way to demonstrate to members of the dental team that a CPD activity is compliant.
In particular, the Code sets out specific quality assurance measures that should be taken by a provider. Although quality assurance is one of the GDC’s requirements for Enhanced CPD, it doesn’t define what this should consist of. As such, the Code offers clarity and a simple system with which providers can meet this requirement.
