I am recruiting for a field engineer to support Carestream Dental products based in or around the Farnborough area.

Roles & Responsibilities:- •Installation, service & repair of Carestream Dental imaging products to the highest standards •Technical support to Customer Service, Sales & Implementation teams •Survey customer sites for layout & equipment to prepare Installation Site Survey documents

The role is full-time & based from home with the candidate visiting NHS & private practices as well as hospitals. Full OEM training will be provided. Full UK Driving Licence & UK Work Visa are required.

To support new & existing customers with the maintenance & servicing of Carestream Dental X-ray equipment to the highest possible standards. In addition, to provide technical support for the Customer Service, Sales & Implementations teams. Prepare all associated administration.

 Attend a customer site to maintain, troubleshoot, repair & install computer/dental/x-ray equipment & software on behalf of Carestream Dental UK Ltd. Completing & distributing reports & customer acceptance forms after each engineering visit via CRM database & on-line services

Contact customers prior to any engineering visit to introduce yourself, arrange convenient times & become more aware of the practice requirements. Communicate with customers as to our requirements & their obligations.

Be self-sufficient & responsible for activities such as planning route to site, travel details, hotel reservations & any administration associated with the role

Continuously be up-to-date on products and application. The Field Service Engineer must use the provided information from MLV or other sites (e.g.: Training Center, WW Product Line Managers (PLM),reading ′Product News' & other Literature & through hands-on experience) to maintain & increase product knowledge.

Survey customer sites, prior to installation, for layout & equipment & prepare this information in an Installation Site Survey document

Provide exceptional customer service & support by phone or email as specified within company standards and guidelines

Other duties as assigned to support the general purpose of the position's function.


Min. Education and Field of Study: Excellent Technical Education in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical and/or IT requested

Minimum Years of Experience: 3-5 years Technical Engineering Skills

Minimum Skills:

1. Education-

_ Excellent Technical Education in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical and/or IT requested


2. Experience-

_ Experience in Servicing and Installing Equipment, Computers and Software

_ Knowledge of PC operating systems like Microsoft Windows

_ Network Knowledge

_ Certification as Microsoft Desktop Support Technician is a plus

_ 3-5 years Technical Engineering Skills

_ Technical Experience on Dental X-Ray equipment

_ Field Service experience desirable

3. Required Knowledge/Skills/Competencies-

_ Ability to increase his/ her existing technical knowledge through Carestream Product Training

_ Fluent English (proven by a test) as requested
