Swallow Dental is a retailer / distributor to the UK dental market with a particular focus in the field of oral surgery, as well as having some key product lines for dental hygiene and dental loupes. Now in its twenty-fourth year of trading, Swallow aims to place customers at the forefront of everything we do, providing them with great products and excellent support. 


The role

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic territory manager to help us to continue to develop our business, build new customer relationships and support our growing customer base in Central London and the South East of England. Operating from a home-based office, you will be visiting private and NHS dental surgeries, dental schools and dental hospitals within your territory, while also representing Swallow Dental at meetings, conferences and shows both on and off territory within the UK. 


You will be responsible for:

  • Organising and developing a working territory plan with a call sales cycle
  • Developing sales within your territory, achieving / exceeding monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Providing after-sales support to customers on your territory
  • Securing daily appointments with potential prospects
  • Work national scheduled shows, conferences and meetings that may involve weekend travel
  • Support and promote new products / product lines
  • Provide weekly activity reports to the Managing Director 
  • Submit monthly expense reports


What we are looking for

  • Enthusiasm, energy and empathy - someone who can really make things happen with a real customer focus.  
  • A minimum of 3-5 years field sales experience, ideally in the dental market
  • Excellent soft skills - communication (verbal and written), organisational skills and time management
  • Efficient diary management, being able to maximise visits and long distance trips effectively
  • A working flexibility to be able to utilise overnight stays where appropriate (distance visits)
  • Educated to A-Level (minimum) 
  • Full UK driving license 
  • Strong computer literacy with a knowledge of Microsoft Windows and CRM systems
